Last semester taking photos!

I’m Hyun, a photographer drawn to moments of transition.

I began my photography career by capturing graduations at Purdue, documenting the transition from being a student to entering the real world. What began as a way to help friends remember an important chapter of their lives grew through word of mouth, as more people trusted me to document moments that mattered to them.

My work is people-centered. I am less interested in perfect poses and more focused on how a moment feels. I pay attention to the pause before something begins, the weight of an ending, and the in-between moments that often pass too quickly.

I work primarily with graduates, couples, and creatives, but at the core, I photograph people navigating change. Whether it is a milestone, a new season, or a simple moment worth holding onto, my goal is to create images that feel honest and lasting.

For me, photography is not about performance or spectacle. It is about presence, slowing down, paying attention, and creating something that feels true to where you are right now.
