What can you expect?
Before the Shoot (Booking Process)
If you’re ready to book, start by heading to the contact page and filling out the form.
At the end of the form, you’ll find a prompt to send a 50% deposit via Zelle to secure your session.
Once the deposit is received and your requested date is available/ confirmed, I will send a calendar invite through Outlook to lock in your time slot.
What to Wear
Stick with solid, neutral colors since they pair best with Purdue’s gold stole and keep the focus on you. Black and white are always safe, clean options, but feel free to choose something that fits you.
Make sure your gown and stole are steamed, and don’t forget any cords, medals, or Greek life items you want included in your photos. Your tassel should be worn on the left side.
If you plan to wear heels, bring a pair of comfortable shoes that are easy to slip on and off since we will be walking around campus.
Overall, keep things simple. The cap and gown already make a statement, so your outfit should complement it, not compete with it.
Requesting a Location
If you have a specific location in mind, just include it in the contact form. As long as it’s near campus and fits within the session time, we can make it work. I’ve shot all over, including places like the Purdue Airport and Martell Forest.
If you’re not sure where you want to shoot, no problem, I have a go-to route across campus that consistently works well. So you’re covered either way.
Some popular spots include:
PMU Arch
PMU (Indoor & Outdoor)
Block P
John Purdue Statue
Bell Tower
Engineering Fountain
Hovde Hall
Gateway Arch
Neil Armstrong Statue
During the Shoot
If you have little to no experience in front of a camera, don’t worry. I’ll guide you through everything, from posing to small adjustments, so you feel comfortable and look natural.
I’ll give you direction when needed, but the goal is to keep things relaxed and easy. Most of the best photos come from just being yourself.
I’ll also have music playing on a speaker as we move around campus to keep the energy up and make the experience more enjoyable. Just show up, trust the process, and enjoy it.
After the Shoot
The remaining balance is due immediately after the shoot. From there, I take care of the rest.
I will review all the images and select the best ones, removing duplicates, blinks, and any awkward moments. Each selected photo will be professionally edited and delivered through an online gallery within two weeks.
Once you receive your gallery, make sure to download your photos for personal use. They are yours to keep and use however you’d like. If you choose to share them on social media, I would love a tag! You can find my Social media below :D
